Make it yours

Spaces layered through texture, tone and natural material.

This season is less about defining a look, and more about shaping spaces that feel personal.

Right now, we are drawn to interiors with a more personal feel. Layered materials, softer contrasts and natural variation create spaces that feel relaxed, thoughtful and less trend-led.

Across the home, surfaces are being combined in more inventive ways, from tonal bathrooms and patterned floors to warmer palettes and richer finishes. The result feels individual, thoughtful and designed to evolve naturally over time.

Natural layering

Layered neutral tones create a calm and composed atmosphere. Mortar Sage Matt Concrete Effect Porcelain forms a soft backdrop, while a mix of marbles; Crema Luisa, Crema Marfil and Valentina Honed Marbles bring movement and natural variation around the basin setting.

If you are looking to create a softer, more understated interior, pairing different marble finishes and muted shades can help bring a refined look and a more balanced feel to a space.

Pattern & pace

Pattern introduces rhythm and structure through layout, scale and contrast. The Portman black and white chequerboard floor creates a more graphic feel through its bordered design, while the Royale and Verde Honed Marble Iggy Maxi Mosaic brings softer movement with its tonal variation.

Whether more graphic or understated, patterned floors are a simple way to bring personality, movement and contrast into a space.

Rich tones

Alongside softer neutrals and tonal spaces, there is still room for deeper colour and richer surfaces throughout the home.

Burwood Matt Wood Effect Porcelain brings warmth through its natural wood tones, shown here as a mix of shades that highlights the full variation within the range. In contrast, Zellige Bordeaux Red Gloss Ceramic introduces depth and atmosphere within the kitchen, with its glazed finish and tonal variation catching the light.

Building palettes

Alongside richer tones and more characterful surfaces, there is also a move towards calmer, more pared back interiors. Ceppo Alta Sabbia Matt Terrazzo Effect Porcelain captures this beautifully, with warm sandy tones and a refined terrazzo effect that adds texture in a more understated way. Used in larger formats, the surface creates a seamless foundation for layering other finishes, from natural wood tones and stone to softer mineral shades.

Building a palette is often where a scheme begins. Bringing samples together is one of the easiest ways to explore how tone, texture and finish sit alongside one another, whether you are drawn to tonal neutrals, natural materials or richer contrasts.

From patterned floors to layered stone and richer glazed finishes, these spaces show how material choices can shape the mood and character of a home.
